FLY FISHING IN CHILEAN PATAGONIA
Chilean Patagonia is — without a doubt — a paradise for fishing enthusiasts. The Aysén Region has both the ideal geographical and meteorological conditions for the salmonoid species to survive, reproduce, and thrive in its crystalline waters. Our fish-rich rivers, lakes, and lagoons are home to brown and rainbow trout as well as Chinook salmon.
Fly fishing is an activity that has the ability to deeply connect us with the peace and calm of nature — a world away from the hum of everyday life. Whether you’re an experienced angler or you’re just starting, Melimoyu Lodge is a destination that will invigorate and inspire your angling ambitions.
Melimoyu Lodge offers a blend of luxury and adventure — an oasis of relaxation juxtaposed with the beautiful, hard edges of our remote wilderness. Spend the day on the water and the evening in refined comfort.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE
This is not your average fishing trip. We’ve taken into account every detail, from plentiful fishing destinations to incredible landscapes. A vast number of world-famous spots comprise the area, including the Figueroa and Palena Rivers and the stunning Rosselot Lake.
While each program on offer has been designed through years of experience, our skilled and knowledgeable guides will make sure your itinerary is tailored to you, your preferences, and fishing style. Whether it’s European nymph or spey casting, our team will do its best to create a truly customized experience.
CATCH & RELEASE
At Melimoyu Lodge, we are committed to conserving our environment and understand the importance of protecting the biodiversity of Chilean Patagonia. For this reason, we adhere to a catch and release philosophy. This practice helps keep fish populations high and allows regeneration.
By ensuring a stable ecosystem and helping to keep a healthy number of fish in the environment, we can look forward to successful fishing adventures for years to come.
By helicopter, you’ll be able to access some of our more isolated fishing locations that are otherwise unreachable. You’ll have some of our region’s most pristine, untouched rivers, and lakes all to yourself.
Our lodge offers its own heliport. Speak to our team while making your reservation to organize access to a helicopter during your stay.
