Bienvenidos — you’ve arrived at Melimoyu Lodge! After being greeted with a welcome cocktail, you’ll sit down for lunch, then have some time to relax and recharge.
Depending on your arrival time at the lodge, you may opt to fish along the banks of the nearby Palena River or hike one of the scenic paths through the rainforest.
Our team will provide you with information on dinner, including times and meal options crafted by our skilled, in-house chef using both Chilean techniques and locally sourced ingredients. You’ll also have a selection of Chile’s finest craft beer and wine to choose from at our open bar.
Each night — after dinner — you’ll sit down with our lead guide to discuss what you’d like to do and plan the following day’s adventure.
After a restful night’s sleep, you’ll enjoy a bountiful, homemade breakfast to help fuel the day ahead.
With your preferences in mind, you and your guide will travel by road to one of our many world-class fishing locations. Then, on a fully-equipped lodge fishing boat, you’ll spend the day casting and reeling in the heart of Chilean Patagonia.
Enjoy a picnic lunch prepared by our in-house chef served along the shore — a delicious meal, surrounded by nature. After some more time on the water, you and your guide will head back to the lodge, where you’ll have the chance to relax before dinner.
After another homemade breakfast, you’ll head out with your guides for a different kind of day on the water — kayaking. Provided with all necessary gear, you’ll enjoy a day paddling along the Palena River while admiring awe-inspiring panoramic views of the Chilean wilderness.
After a homemade picnic lunch on the river bank, your guide will take you for a short 15-minute trek to our secluded, natural hot spring. Coveted for its restorative properties, you’ll have an opportunity to soak and recharge in this hidden Chilean gem.
Continuing your kayak journey, you and your guide will paddle to our designated river exit. Then traveling by road, you’ll head back to the lodge for a rest, dinner, and to raise a glass to the day’s adventure — salud!
After an early breakfast, you’ll embark on your last day of adventure with us. All tacked up and ready to go, you and your guide will spend the morning exploring Chilean Patagonia by horseback. Like a true gaucho, you’ll experience our ruggedly beautiful landscape from this truly unique perspective.
After your morning ride, you’ll arrive back at the lodge to find a delicious and well-earned lunch waiting for you. At this point, a rest might be in order, but those who would like to continue the adventure can head out on a hike along the stunning trails that surround the lodge. Keep an eye and ear out for some of the many beautiful birds that call our forests home.
Whether you spend your afternoon relaxing in one of our riverside hot tubs or hiking through the forest, you can look forward to an authentic Chilean feast to cap off your Melimoyu stay. Enjoy our famous spit-roasted lamb, salads made from homegrown produce, full glasses of Chilean wine, and sopaipillas — a treat made of Chilean fried bread you won’t soon forget.
After your final breakfast with us, we’ll say our goodbyes — for now. At Melimoyu Lodge, we truly love hosting our many guests from around the globe, learning about them and their lives while sharing the wonders of this unique corner of the world.
